SECOND TPV BUSINESS BREAKFAST: A SUCCESSFUL START TO THE YEAR

The kick-off event of this year’s Business Breakfast series at the tpv Technology Park Villach, held on Shrove Tuesday, was a great success. Numerous company representatives took the opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions, strengthen their networks, and share a forward-looking perspective for the year ahead.
On February 17, starting at 8 a.m., tpv invited employees and executives of the companies based at the park to the second edition of the morning networking event, hosted in the auditorium of the High Tech Campus Villach (HTCV). Alongside engaging company presentations, the introduction of the new team, and a concise news update including an outlook for the year, there was plenty of time afterward for personal exchange over coffee and traditional Carnival doughnuts.
Following the successful premiere in November, representatives from KAI, AFRY, EXTOLL, comprei, Silicon Austria Labs (SAL), Intel, Silicon Alps Cluster, GPS – Gemeinnütziges Personalservice Kärnten GmbH, Campo, the build! Gründungszentrum, Carinthia University of Applied Sciences (CUAS), the Berufs- und Bildungsorientierung Kärnten (BBOK), as well as members of the tpv administrative team attended the second edition. Bernhard Lamprecht, Managing Director of HTCV / tpv, warmly welcomed the guests and officially opened the new event year.
INSPIRING KEYNOTE IMPULSES
The central highlights of the morning were the keynote impulses delivered by two tpv companies. Martin Trink, Managing Director of the build! Gründungszentrum, and Christoph Riegler, responsible for EBS startup coordination and project management, provided insights into the organization’s work and the Carinthian startup ecosystem. They also presented two successful startups supported by build!: Avemoy, a Carinthian agri-tech startup developing autonomous drone and AI technology for fully automated harvesting and crop monitoring in greenhouses, and LoconIQ, which specializes in precise indoor localization using an innovative calibration method that achieves millimeter-level accuracy. The session concluded with a warm invitation to all attending companies to participate in the upcoming Demo Day and the Falling Walls Lab – two major innovation formats organized by the founders center that foster exchange between startups, industry, and research, while bringing forward groundbreaking ideas.

In the second keynote impulse, Tanja Sommeregger and Martina Kemperle presented the activities of Berufs- und Bildungsorientierung Kärnten (BBOK). Since 2009, BBOK has successfully implemented 3,939 projects focused on key topics in career guidance and educational orientation. The presentation highlighted in particular the “Future Jobs” initiative, a classroom project carried out in close cooperation with tpv companies, as well as “Berufsspionage”, in which students in grades 7 and 8, together with their parents, visit companies to gain practical insights into various professions. Both formats aim to familiarize students with a wide range of career paths at an early stage, provide authentic insights into the working world, and spark enthusiasm for their future professional journeys.

NEW SITE MANAGEMENT & EVENT OUTLOOK 2026
Bernhard Lamprecht then shared updates from tpv and introduced Edith Bürger as the new Site Manager. Since January, she has been serving as the central point of contact for all matters related to the technology park.
In addition, an outlook on the event highlights for 2026 was presented. Employees of tpv-based companies can already look forward to the following dates:

DISCOVERING SYNERGIES & GROWING TOGETHER
The closing networking session was marked by lively discussions, deepened connections, and the exploration of new collaboration opportunities. This is precisely where the strength of the format lies: companies gain visibility, ideas take shape, and partnerships lay their first foundations.
The second Business Breakfast once again demonstrated that the quarterly event series strengthens internal networking, increases transparency regarding on-site activities, and promotes the joint development of tpv Technology Park Villach.
We are already looking forward to welcoming you to the next Business Breakfast on May 12, 2026, for another engaging and inspiring exchange.
