Silicon Austria Labs

Founded in 2018, the research and development facility Silicon Austria Labs (SAL) is Austria's leading research center for electronic and software-based systems. At its locations in Graz, Villach and Linz, SAL develops pioneering technologies for environmental protection, health, energy, mobility and safety along the ESBS value chain - from chips to intelligent systems.

With the new SAL Microfab in Villach, the company offers the largest research cleanroom complex in Austria with a total area of 1,400 m².

SAL brings together key players from industry and academia, providing valuable expertise and know-how. Cooperative projects are co-funded by SAL and enable a fast and unbureaucratic project start.
