OPEN DAY AT THE EMC - MEASUREMENT AND TESTING LABORATORY
On September 21st, the EMC Measurement and Testing Laboratory in Villach opened its doors for an exclusive look into its state-of-the-art facilities.
Numerous interested visitors from the city of Villach, employees of Carinthia University of Applied Sciences (FH Kärnten), as well as entrepreneurs from Austria and abroad took advantage of the opportunity to explore the new EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) laboratory (“EMV-Labor”) on the Open Day at the end of September. There, they not only gained a behind-the-scenes view but also received detailed information about the diverse services offered by the laboratory.
The highlights of the day included guided tours in German and English, providing insights into the new SAC 5 m (Semi-Anechoic Chamber), the impressive FAR 3 m (Fully Anechoic Chamber), shielded cabins, and various cutting-edge measurement devices. Visitors had the unique opportunity to enter the 6.8-meter-high Semi-Anechoic Chamber and engage with experienced laboratory experts afterward.
The personal visit by Mayor Günther Albel, accompanied by Maria-Luise Hadwiger, in charge of economic development and business settlement for the city of Villach, as well as Sabine Domenig, the coordinator of the tpv Technology Park Villach, underscored the significance and appreciation for the innovative EMC laboratory.
