CATALAN BUSINESS DELEGATION VISITS VILLACH
As part of their stay in Villach for the 35th APLEC Festival, a high-level delegation from the Catalan government paid a visit to selected companies at tpv.
From June 16th to 18th, 2023, Villach hosted the 35th APLEC International Festival. Hundreds of Catalan artists and folklore groups brought Catalan joy of life to the city center of Villach for three days. As part of the event, networking events were organized with Catalan business delegations, who also visited the Technology Park in Villach.
TPV MEETS CATALONIA
On July 16th, Carinthian Parliamentary President Reinhard Rohr welcomed a delegation consisting of Catalan Minister for Foreign Action and European Union, Meritxell Serret Aleu, representatives from ACCIÓ, the Agency for Business Competitiveness of the Generalitat de Catalunya, as well as the Delegate of the Regional Government of Catalonia in Central Europe, Krystyna Schreiber, at tpv.
At the High Tech Campus, the visitors were received by CEO Christina Hirschl in the premises of Silicon Austria Labs. During a tour of the research facility, the current developments in the field of sensors for the automotive sector and high-performance lasers were presented. The Silicon Alps Cluster, Carinthia University of Applied Sciences, and build! also welcomed the high-profile Catalan representation to exchange expertise and experiences, and strengthen the relationship between Catalonia and Austria. A highlight of the visit was the encounter with Catalan employees working in Austrian companies and research institutions.
FOR THE STRENGTHENING OF NETWORKING AND COLLABORATION
The visit of the Catalan Business Delegation to the Technology Park Villach holds great significance not only for tpv but also for the entire region. It underscores the recognition of the Technology Park as an important hub for research, innovation, and technological development. The meeting provided an excellent opportunity for the exchange of knowledge, ideas, and experiences between the two regions, fostering networking and collaboration in the field of technology and innovation.
