The High Tech Campus Villach (HTCV for short) is responsible for the project planning, development, creation, and operation of research and technology centers, and especially the provision of services related to these centers. BABEG Kärntner Betriebsansiedlungs- und Beteiligungsgesellschaft m.b.H. (Carinthia Regional Investment Promotion and Business Settlement Agency) and the City of Villach are equal partners in the organization.
The High Tech Campus is located in tpv and was founded in 2013. As per the design competition, in total four 4000 m² buildings were built. The first building, BA01, was completed in 2015. Tenants include SAL Silicon Austria Labs, Silicon Alps Cluster, and the build! Gründerzentrum Kärnten, as well as start-ups. Construction of the second building, BA02, was begun in March 2021 and completion of this building, which will house offices, laboratories, and a cleanroom, is expected at the end of 2022.
