The Baulabor (Construction Laboratory) of the Carinthia University of Applied Sciences is located in the Technology Park Villach. Depending on the project, the organization has up to 10 employees from the Civil Engineering and Architecture departments at this site. Among others, the subject areas construction physics, building material technology, and structural engineering are located here.
In collaboration with universities (Graz University of Technology, Vienna University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences) or industry partners like Hilti, Sika, and Halfen, research projects are continually being conducted at the Baulabor. These are partly financed by the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG) or the Austrian infrastructure companies ASFINAG and ÖBB. To strengthen cross-border cooperation, Interreg projects are also carried out with partners like ZAG and the University of Padua.
