LOOKING FOR INNOVATIVE IDEAS: FALLING WALLS LAB AUSTRIA 2025

At the end of May, the academic ideas competition Falling Walls Lab Austria brings visionary projects and innovations to the tpv Technology Park Villach.

On May 22nd, 2025, the tpv Technology Park Villach will become the stage for forward-looking ideas: At Falling Walls Lab Austria, early-career researchers, students, young professionals, and entrepreneurs will present their innovative projects, business models, and social initiatives — live in front of an audience and expert jury.

FALLING WALLS LAB AUSTRIA 2025

Hosted by the build! Gründungszentrum, Kärnten Gründungsnetzwerk and AplusB Southwest, the competition focuses on creative solutions to global challenges — ideas that symbolically “break down walls” and thus drive innovation and social change. Each presentation is delivered in English and limited to three minutes — compact, pointed, and inspiring.

The winners can expect not only exciting prizes — first place receives €1,000 and qualifies for the international Falling Walls Lab final at the end of November 2025 in Berlin.

Applications for participants are open until May 5th, 2025. Visitors are also warmly invited to be inspired by the exciting pitches — admission is free, but online registration is required.
