Equipped with garbage bags and gloves, the youngest members of the tpv community made a big statement for environmental awareness. Together with a waste consultant, they learned all about waste reduction – and got actively involved right away

Waste separation, waste prevention, and mindful environmental practices are among the most important issues of our time – and at tpv Technology Park Villach, awareness starts early: The children from the public kindergarten at tpv recently teamed up with waste consultant Ramona Sterbenz to not only gain theoretical knowledge about waste management, but also to put it into practice.

As part of the city’s annual clean-up campaign, which sees many volunteers take part each year, the kindergarten children set out with bags and gloves to clean the area around their school – and collected a surprising amount of carelessly discarded litter.

This initiative clearly shows: Environmental education starts young – and even the smallest hands can make a big difference.
