On May 12, 2026, Technology Park Villach hosted its third Business Breakfast. The event took place at the FantasTisch restaurant, which is affiliated with the Carinthia University of Applied Sciences (CUAS). In a relaxed atmosphere, numerous representatives of resident companies took the opportunity to exchange ideas and network over breakfast, coffee, and a selection of sweet and savory treats.

Following a welcome by Managing Director Bernhard Lamprecht, guests enjoyed a diverse program with engaging insights from science, business, and site development.

RESEARCH MEETS PRACTICE

In his keynote speech, Erich Hartlieb, Head of the Industrial Engineering & Management degree program at CUAS, provided a comprehensive overview of the university’s research landscape. He introduced key research centers and groups and presented successful projects that have emerged from close cooperation between CUAS and industry partners. A particular focus was placed on innovative collaborations and developments such as Synaptos, Add-e, and Pery, which illustrate the close link between research and entrepreneurial practice.

INFRASTRUCTURE & SITE DEVELOPMENT

New infrastructure was also on the agenda. Kelag presented its new fast-charging stations in the parking area in front of the HTCV building. The publicly accessible charging points, offering up to 150 kW, allow electric vehicles to be charged in around 20 minutes within the technology park.

Another item on the agenda focused on the further development of the site. Students from the Intercultural Management program at CUAS presented initial interim results of a survey on site development. The final results of the project will be presented in June and are expected to provide valuable input for the future design of the technology park.

OUTLOOK ON UPCOMING EVENTS

Attention also turned to upcoming events. The Silicon Alps Cluster invited guests to the exclusive Partner Strategy Day “Light up the Alps 2026” and to the public anniversary celebration marking its 10th anniversary. Both events will take place on June 10 at the Bamberger Saal in Villach.

In addition, an overview of the 2026 event highlights of Technology Park Villach was presented. Employees of resident companies can already look forward to the following dates:
