MINI EDUCATIONAL LAB INVITES YOU TO OPEN HOUSE

On Tuesday, October 22, 2024, the Mini Educational Lab at the tpv Technology Park Villach will host an Open House. From 1 p.m. to 7 p.m., children and their families can experience the fascinating world of science and technology up close.

The Mini Educational Lab is a unique educational facility for children aged three to six, created in collaboration with the Carinthian Business Development Fund. Its goal is to promote access to STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) at a preschool level and offer new learning approaches. Educators also benefit from special training sessions and innovative teaching methods.

The modules, specifically designed for preschool children, present complex scientific topics in a playful and creative way. Young explorers can experiment, discover, and learn through play. The lab rooms and the spacious outdoor area offer ideal conditions for this. Two flexible lab rooms cover a total area of 112 m², while the 550 m² outdoor space invites practical explorations and hands-on workshops. A large snack area provides space for breaks and relaxation.

Over 20 exciting and individually bookable modules in the fields of mathematics, computer science, natural sciences, technology, and sustainability are available for kindergarten groups.

A DAY FULL OF DISCOVERIES 

The Open House offers a unique opportunity to get to know the Mini Educational Lab and its wide range of activities. Families are warmly invited to experience an exciting and educational afternoon with their children. There will be opportunities not only to observe but also to engage in hands-on experiments. 

The event is also an excellent chance to experience the educational initiative "Villach makes STEM" firsthand and inspire children's enthusiasm for research and science. The Mini Educational Lab team is excited to welcome many curious visitors and little explorers!
