The Carinthia University of Applied Sciences (FH Kärnten) is a dialogue-oriented institute of higher education that is both rooted in the region and has an international focus, and is a living model of practical relevance. Targeted course offerings with approximately 36 degree programs in the four areas of civil engineering & architecture, engineering & IT, health sciences & social work, and management, as well as mandatory internships, prepare students optimally for entering the workforce.
In addition, the FH Kärnten covers a wide range of research topics. In cooperation with partner organizations, technical, economic, and social issues are researched and tested in the field. The research areas are combined in a disciplined and interdisciplinary way and examined thematically in 19 research groups and three research centers - Institute for Applied Research on Ageing (IARA), Carinthia Institute for Smart Materials (CISMAT), Carinthia Institute for Microelectronics (CIME) and Additive Manufacturing, intelligent Robotics and Engineering (ADMiRE) Research Center.
